Dr. Barbara met Denise Rodgers in 1982.
That was 18 months following an incident when she was shot twice, beaten severely, and left for dead while her 5-year old daughter hid in the next room.
Due to multiple nerve severing of the left arm, the medical community “proclaimed” that Denise would only regain 18% of the use of her hand. Not willing to accept such a dim prognosis, Denise set out to prove the healing power of mind through spiritual practices.
She found the School of Metaphysics and began her formal education of the mind, health and spirituality that would include a Masters of Divinity from Sancta Sophia.
Denise's Mind Body Spirit curriculums explore how the mind and body work together for wellness. She has collaborated with medical universities from Tulsa to Houston, merging her programs with the Intuitive Reports to provide a research for multiple sclerosis and breast cancer patients.
